Aid: N18673 Bradwell Marker Buoy 2
Latitude: 51⁰44.709N Long: 00⁰53.405E

RIVER BLACKWATER, ESSEX

Admiralty Chart 3741

You are advised that this marker has partially fouled and becomes submerged at high tide and thus not visible around High Water.
The marker buoy is, however, visible at all other states of the tide.
The Navigational Directorate has been informed and advised that a special marker will not be required as long as a Local Notice to Mariners is issued. Work is ongoing to rectify the problem and the partially submerged buoy shall be recovered and replaced at the earliest opportunity

Quite - my memory (which I confess is pretty dodgy) was that the baffled (sic) wall was cut off at the level of the seabed which suggests t'wasn't much of a hazard and must have been cut off either side.
