The power of social media. I wonder who now owns the boat, the insurance company, or the original owners. Not sure I would want the boat back if I was the owner. Another sad aspect, is that the caretaker Latvian girl might be a patsy who has now been arrested.

UPDATE: Our yacht Mischief has been found!!
We are so thrilled to share that our beautiful Hanse 588 has been found in Brazil.
It’s been a tough 4 months of not knowing her whereabouts, but the wait is now over!
There is currently an investigation under way, which is why we haven’t posted anything to date.
However, we would like to thank everyone in the yachting community who has followed our story, who has shared our posts worldwide and who has been on the look out for our boat. Afterall it was through social media, and the keen eye of vigilant yachties who spotted Mischief.
We can never thank them enough for their determination to ensure the authorities investigated the boat they thought was Mischief, and for putting us in touch with the right people who could assist with the next steps to getting her back.
To all of you, you know who you are - a BIG thank you!
We would also like to thank Croatia Yachting for their assistance by being the bridge between us owners, the insurance company, the Croatian authorities and the manufacturer.
There is quite a bit of admin we are busy with to get her released and returned to us, but we have fantastic people on the ground in Brazil assisting us.
We hope to have her safely back in Croatia soon!
