We had to leave a red and white Topper behind the crash barrier on the hard shoulder of the M5 Northbound near Exeter on 19/07/14 - the roof rack fittings broke and the rack left the top of the car. Luckily nobody was hurt.

The Highways Agency were happy for it to be left behind the barrier for a couple of days while we arranged alternative transport but by the time we returned yesterday it had been removed. The Highways Agency and police are aware.

It's approximately 20 years old and in good condition with huge sentimental value. Registration number 23763. It was still attached to the roof rack - if somebody tries to sell you a rack for a Jaguar XF with some missing fittings, they probably have our Topper!

As we left it outdoors it could have been taken innocently, but we'd love to see it again. Thanks.
