Stolen outboard recovered

Today we have recovered a Mariner 2.5hp outboard engine on a stolen boat in the River Hamble. At this time we do not have an owner for it. The theft of boat occurred last night near Port Hamble Marina. If you can assist with identifying an owner call 101 and quote 44220514903

Unfortunately not the one I had stolen. That was a Tohatsu 3.5, with the postcode of my old address 68 NW& 1JY engraved into it.

Some years ago at a boat jumble I heard an amusing story.
I was buying some rope and the person next to me was approached by a friend. He said I didn't know you were coming to the boat jumble, what are you after. He replied I was hoping to find my outboard that was nicked.
