I'm thinking of taking off the wooden toe-rail and replacing it with an Aluminium one - trouble is I can't find a supplier of the Al extrusions. It needs to be an upside down U shape. Can anyone help??
May I suggest You Google a little serching for aluninium profiles / marine aluminium profiles and, once You have found the manufacturer of a profile thatr fits Your needs, ask him for his nearest stockist?
It seems that you need an "H" shped profile, with sides rounding and closing toward the top, in the orizontal part holes will have to be drilled and bolts passed to fasten to the boat, then a rubber profile inserted in the top part of the "H" (manufacturers usually supply also the rubber band which go with the profile.
It looks as a major work, with lot of study to be done in order to avoid leaking....
