Stitching?

Just had new chafe protection sewn on my batten pockets. I have 5 full battens and the lower 3 seem to have shrunk. The battens are 2 inces too long! Of course the sailmaker says no way But-----? Should I re-cut the battens to fit or leave it for a while.?

Don't accept what the sailmaker is saying. Go back until you are satisfied with the job you have paid them to do. Dont forget to remind them that their reputation is at stake!!!
