I'd suggest picking someone, or something from history that you find appealing. (I.e. if you're into history, Agincourt, or there is a plethora of names)

Amalgamation of children's (relatives) initials/names?
Need to be careful if you have children with the following names though:
Christine
Ralph
Andrew
Peter
Be carefull ....we had a few interesting replies when we called on the radio 'Honey Pot' it did have a picture of Winnie on the back, especially in the states they think it means something completely unconnected with childrens books!
Favourite place, favourite tune, play on words with family names, what type of boat, a name that has something to do with the type of boat. I named mine "IN Dreams" a favourite tune and also a dream to own a boat finally fulfilled. Whatever it is make sure you enjoy and safe sailing.
Apart from being a name you like, IMO it should be easily understandable over the VHF, eg by coastguard etc. You don't want to be spelling it out every time you use it, or especially in an emergency.
You can also check on the ITU site to see how many boats are registered by a particular name or deriviatives of it. Then you can decide if you are happy to have a name already in use, or would prefer to think of something original.
