I need to try and lubricate my cables in a last ditch attempt to solve my still throttles before I bite the bullet and change all the cables. Is there a consensus on the best way to do this? I was going to spray all of the visible areas (and under the controls) and attempt to work it backwards and forwards and then re-apply at 'regular' intervals. I am reluctant to use WD40 AIUI that just disperses the water and I was leaning towards silicon spray/grease as it is a lubricant.

Has anyone tried this with any success/failure and what did you use?
Thanks all.
