My Plastimo tender has a couple of 10"x5" name and logo patches one on each bow. They have both gone really sticky and I am at a loss to know how best to deal with it. The tubes and floor in and out are fine at the moment. I have cleaned the patches off with a citrus based solvent and this has removed the gooey and dirty surface but I am left with a tacky surface and from previously cleaning this off I know it will just get more and more sticky.

How can I stabalize this and stop it getting repeatedly sticky. I wondered whether some PVC paint would work but would it set on this unstable sticky surface?

I have seen previous posts in the past about tenders going sticky in the Med but I have not found any solutions. Any ideas?

PVC paint should work OK if you have removed all "sticky" with acetone. Have used it on all my dinghy fittings which haven't gone sticky but after 5 years in sun have started to fall off with glue failure:(
