Can I use a ready supply that I have of Tech-7 to stick down my treadmaster pads on the foredeck or do I really need to invest in the expensive two part epoxy glue that the company sells. Has anyone done this recently??

Thanks

What is "Tech-7".

I used a sikaflex type product that I got in gray as my Treadmaster was gray in colour.

Non has lifted yet.

Thanks for that. Here's a link: http://www.tec7.ie/ It's actually called Tec-7. Its a Sikaflec type product. I have a supply of grey coloured Tec7. The treadmaster is grey too so I thought I'd try it. How long is your treadmaster down??

Thanks

Mine has been down about 5 or 6 years first year or 2 at the build site in Johannesburg and the last 4 years in Durban harbour.

Just looked up the actual product and it was made by Den Braven and called hyproflex LM, I cannot find it an their web site so it may have been superseded by now.

I don't know tec7 at all but the TBS non slip in my cockpit, quite similar to Treadmaster, was stuck down with a very similar product. Whatever you do, don't be tempted to use contact adhesive. Over time the water slowly dissolves it and the edges curl up. It took me about a month to scrape it off a deck that a previous owner had applied.
