If you're talking about the boat I think you are (Red hull, based in Southampton?) then I have sailed on it. It is very tippy and would need reefing pretty early to be controllable in breezes where most other cruising boats of that size would not.
You will probably also find that it is laid out for a biggish crew (centreline running backstays and no roller furling headsail etc, as it was designed to race) and would be a lot of effort to sail with a normal cruising crew of say 4 or less.
It is prob Red Dragon, and it always had one hell of a good handicap, and sailed well with the right crew. I cant imagine it would make a good cruiser, except you would get to the moorings first!
