Something from the weekend.....What an amazing team, Steves' thread 'Brian Rix veteran farce actor is alive and well in Mercury' tells the story. We were 20 seconds off our mooring to end the perfect day, the next hour was indeed a 'farce' and we were all covered in Mercury Mud. At first i did not know whether to laugh or cry so i did both. The rope was actually wrapped around the duo prop and we were tethered to the river bed by a very very heavy vehicle bell housing full of mud with a rising tide................to the rescue Steve Dunstable boat salvage........in the hard world of boat salvage throwing mooring lines to one another is girlie stuff.........after 10 minutes a rowing boat came around the corner at about 5 knots with Captain Steve manning the oars, didn't land alongside first time but zipped past shouting 'whoaaaaaa how do you stop these things??????' Second approach brilliant and Steve took the rope to the pontoon to pull us in, including all the ropes wrapped around the props and a 50kg bell housing. Unfortunately I did have a problem with my trousers falling to my ankles in all the excitement........MikeH99 you are a star, enough said.

Stars of the salvage team, Captain Steve Dunstable 10/10 Gold Star
Mike H99 10/10 Gold Star (sorry my legs put you off your evening meal)
First mate Dick 10/10 Gold Star(yep that mud sure does stink!!!)
Highly recommend this salvage team 'The Mercury Mud Busters'
Andie Mac sorry no video or pictures with trousers down due to health and safety issues.
Do you think this is the sort of story that Jack Haines is looking for???!!!!!
