I've seen several post on this but each one addressing an aspect i'm not looking at. So I've got a couple of questions in light of my most recent oil drain from my DP-G which, while not milky, did have a runny water consistency before the goopy lube started draining. I figure i may as well change the seals and pressure test etc etc.

so Q1: anyone have any links to the pressure test adapters that are needed to connect to any of the fill ports?

Q2: i've seen it mentioned several times about needing to do a full flush of the leg if it has had water in the oil....what is meant by a full flush? fill with oil, drain and replace with new oil? or something else?

Q3: anyone got a link to a tutorial to remove/replace the prop seals (both sets on the duoprop) that doesnt resort to heath robinson drilling screws into the seal and pulling them out? ive got the DP-E workshop manual, but of course that refers to special tools etc.

Q1 Use the hose and fitting supplied by mercruiser to pump lube into the bottom fitting on their drives. It fitted my DP-E drive so maybe same on DP-G? Connected this to an automatic halfords car inflator which continued to show pressure once test pressure was achieved. I think the spec was 10psi for several minutes, you will have to check that bit.
Q2 Correct, though if only a trace of oil as in white emulsion I would not worry about it too much myself. My VP fitter advised me not to worry about a small trace of white emulsion which happened every year as long as oil changed.
Q3 That is one of the few jobs that I would not do myself! A dealer has the experience and special tools.!

I had emulsified oil in my DPH, you are supposed to both pressure and vacuum test. My gearchange held pressure but not vacuum so I would suggest you should do a vacuum test as well as pressure test. I bought a Laser tools vacuum/pressure tester to do the job.
I would suggest you test before changing any seals. I did 10psi for about 15min then moved into one gear for same time, into other gear, same time. Then move the propshafts and leave. Repeat at -10psi. If it holds pressure and vacuum probably not worth changing seals. The other place it can leak is the input shaft but unless there is water in the bellows it can't take water in that seal.
