stern gland trouble

stern gland was leaking too much .having repacked the gland it is now completely dry is this ok?

Check the temperature of the gland when running the engine, it should not be more then lukewarm. If it is you will need to ease the pressure. A few drops op water is no issue.

I had the same problem, had it re-packed now no water at all, good advice to check it does not get too hot though.
