Hi
This gland is on a 2008 vw engined quicksilver / arvor .

It appears to be leaking

The pipe in the picture appears to go to the exhaust???

I can't burp it, the pipe is far too stiff.

There is no grease facility.

No visible names or numbers.

That is a wax seal ... and it looks like you have a bit room for tightening... take the inner nuts, turn each half a turn, then lock up with the outer one...

Next time on the dry get yourself some new wax seal remove old and build up two or more layers... your setup will look a bit like this...

Yes, a stuffing box where the seal is a cord type packing, usually impregnated with graphite or teflon. It drips as the packing wears, but tightening the two nuts a bit will reduce the drip to almost nothing. The tube is probably a feed from the water cooling on the engine as the seal is water cooled.
