Boat looks a bit of a shed at the moment I know. Probably cos it's covered in bits from my shed /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I think I might be tempted to add perhaps a teeny weeny bit of triangulation to help prevent the new framework easing backwards in lumpy conditions ? Those joints at the horizontal SS struts look a bit vulnerable and "open" (angularly speaking).

Re: Stern arch winter project \"finished\" at last!

Yes I have considered that, but decided to "see how it goes" for a while. At the moment it feels very rigid fore-and-aft, judging by doing pull-ups on it and generally swinging around /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I need to tweak the width a little and beef up the toe-rail mounts, so I'll probably fit some triangulation then. But that is for next winter - I'm building a new doorframe and door for the companionway now /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I should have said that I think getting the radar well above deck level is a real benefit; your system is much higher than the average.
