Hi All

Can someone confirm something for me please... the charger is installed and working just fine.

There is a white cable coming out the bottom of it - which I am pretty sure is the battery temperature sensor - and should be attached to a post on the leisure batteries.

See attached picture - is this the temperature sensor ?

Many thanks,

Tim

I can't easily see if it is - some bright spark has pretty much build the entire yacht around the pro charger !

So to remove the small red access panel that exposes the connections on the pro charger... will sadly involve pulling out all seating on one side of yacht - priceless !

I am pretty sure it is though - as if I follow it as far as I can see - it enters pro charger in about the right place as in the instructions.

Cant be anything else can it ?!??!??

You dont say which model of charger it is.

I did see any references to "white cable" in the manuals I have glanced at but they do indicate where the temp sensor is to be connected

See your manual or find the appropriate one at http://sterling-power.com/pages/instruction-manuals

Hi VicS

It is the Pro Charger Ultra 12v 30A - and yep - checked the manual - and you are tight there is no reference to the actual cable - but they do show in the manual a place for a cable to be plugged in - and I am pretty sure it goes there.

the temp sensor cable has a jack plug on the end like the sort used to plug a telephone handset to the base unit (RJ11?). I was told it is not essential to connect it, just desirable for efficiency reasons.

... does it matter which -ve post I attach it to... I am guessing not ??

The manual says :

Battery Temperature sensor
Connect the battery temp
sensor to the position
as shown, connect the
sensor end to the negative stud
terminal on one of the batteries
which you think will be in the hottest environment.
