Sterling A to B remote gone haywire?

I had one of those and would often get strange readings like that. First check would be to check the display on the unit itself and see what voltage that is giving. I would expect it would be a more normal 14ish volts ( depending on battery SoC and unit settings of course) . Assuming that is the case ( always was with mine) then the fault is in either the remote or the signal is getting corrupted somewhere. IIRC they use an RJ11 connector and i'm not convinced that they are that robust, especially in the somewhat challenging conditions that they might be mounted in. Try another cable if that is the case but i never really found an adequate fix for mine.
