A long shot I know, but our new boat an "Ecume de Mer" is being delivered by road on Friday and is due to arrive in Cardiff Bay Yacht Club early afternoon. The boat is due to be launched Saturday morning, but we have a problem. The only local company that we are aware of that could help with the mast/ standing rigging can neither do it on Friday, and will only do it in their own yard. Does anyone know of anyone that we could employ to help do this on Friday? we will have the lorry there that is delivering the boat with a HIAB on it to lift the mast and willing if in-experienced helpers at hand. Any ideas?
Thanks
Shaun

I have put a mast up on a similar sized boat with just two of us (tall and strong), can be done without legs etc.. if push comes to shove, as it were!

Shaun, Hi.

Looks like a really well organised SAILING BOAT. All those halyards show that this is an owner who knows what he's about.

Re: stepping the mast - get the cap shrouds and either fore or backstay attached and you and a mate or two should have no bother. Biggest worry is when a bottle screw/toggle gets jammed and you bend it.

pm or 'phone for tips.
