Hi!!
Hi there;
Sorry for my bad english. I will try to explain it as good as I can.
I've had some problems in the recent past with the steering of my boat. I have twin VP D4 300 withs duoprop sterndrives and joy stick. In my holidays away from home I suddenly received an failure message on the starboard control screen wich I would translate as: "steering failure. check owners manual"
I called Volvo AS and a Volvo technician came and said I had to change two steering sensors and three rams. The boat is from 2016 btw. I got them replaced ad a cost of 1000 euro each and three rams also. After that I got some oil traces in tha water an thougt that it could be residual oil from the work done, but now I get the same message on the port screen and a part from the first 5000 euro bill this will stop me from using the boat again in august
I really don't know what the problem could be. I've red all I have been able to find on internet but don't find anything, althpough one VP guy said that these parts aren't the most robust parts on earth. I've read that it could be the batteries too, wich I changed in winter but that gives no senese to me as, the problem on the starboard engine has solved. The oil traces I see now could trigger the failure message?
Thank you in advance
