Hello
Looking to fit a Gussi steering wheel on my boat (Beneteau Monte Carlo 37 2009).

When it arrived I went to boat, undid the old wheel and found there was a block on the shaft with teeth all around it. the wheel I bought was like this one so it doesnt fit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192801256265?ul_noapp=true

The steering column has a block that says Volvo Penta, any ideas how I can make this new one fit?

Thanks
Ern

Hello to a fellow Monte Carlo owner! I have actually just replaced my steering wheel and boss to fit a Gussi wheel from Timage. I made up a hub puller from nuts, bolts, washers and a piece of wood. The hub popped off easily. I have just failed miserably trying to upload a picture of the wheel and hub puller. I could try to pm them to you if you like. Whereabouts are you berthec?

Normally the shaft will be 3/4 or 1”. tapered you remove the old boss which suits the old wheel and buy a new boss to suit the new wheel for the correct shaft diameter from the wheel supplier

Existing: Undo bolt

Then you are left with this thing and it wont come off

Bought a puller from Toolstation

It worked!

New wheel looks a billion dollars, literally takes 10 years off the boat.
