Warning to beachgoers as girl, 12, is infected by PARASITES after swim in Devon sea

Erin Town spent nearly every day for two weeks swimming at Wildersmouth Beach in Ilfracombe, Devon before she landed in hospital. The beach has received a poor water rating since 2014.

How far does this cover? I am surprised a parasite can survive in those waters!

Maybe unlucky after swallowing a bit too much? Though as the article (link) says, it's been dodgy since at least 2014.

So... how far do these dodgy water warnings stretch? If that beach is affected, surely the whole channel is?
