Thanks for all the useful comments on the merits of in mast furling and yes it did become almost another 'anchor thread' ! possibly not a bad thing as I think a lot of people will benefit from the discussion.
I asked the question because one of the yachts our would be owners group had spotted had it and non of us had ever used it.
Looking at potential yachts is great but, in our case a bit 'cart before horse' as we don't have a quorum of members!
Is it possible/etiquette to ask for interest on one of our forums and if so which?
