Hi,

I've just acquired a Hustler 35, and am starting to work on it hopefully to get her back in the water in March.

Which books would you recommend for a starter that would cover most of the usual maintenance and repair work? Most of the work that I need to do is a lot of cleening and repainting (deck), rebedding deck hardware and chasing leaks, bits of electrics...

Thanks
Nicolas,
Can't wait to be back on the water

I found the Nigel Calder books a tremendous help when I first brought my boat.
Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual, Second Edition, is very comprehensive and easy to understand/absorb.

Take a look at his website at:

I just borrowed a copy of that one and it is very good on electrics, and seemingly heads. Not gone into the engine and rig stuff yet.

The areas it doesn't seem to cover from my quick read through are forced air heaters and calorifiers.

Despite the high cost of living, it still remains popular.
