Starfisher 840 & Yanmar 6LP - surveyor ?

I am in the process of buying a Starfisher 840 with a Yanmar 6LP-DTE engine - in Chichester.

Please can anyone advise on / recommend a surveyor for the boat, and someone to check the engine, with experience of that boat and that engine respectively, in Sussex/Hampshire ?

I have the exact same boat and engine. What year is yours? Great boats btw.

I've done the normal complete servicing items, all new electronics (2x mfd's,vhf,radar,Ais,deck light,heating etc). mines a 2006 and for its age in pretty good nick. Port side window is a bit hard to slide open, but think that's down to the replacement runner rubber being a mm or 2 too thick. We spend a lot of time on her. Great for weekending and solo fishing trips etc.
What performance do you achieve??

I nearly bought one back in about 2006, it was called Tom something or other, or something Tom. Can't quite recall. Lovely boat, and a much underrated marque.

Hi ST840 - I didn't complete the purchase of that boat because I've found a ST780 in better nick. It has a 4-cylinder 200hp Yanmar 4LHA. Survey and sea trial shortly. What performance do you get from your ST840/6LP ?

She maxes out at 3600rpm giving 24knts.
Cruises all day long at 3000rpm 18knts.
