standing rigging guide (book)

hi,

have never taken an interest in setting up the standing rigging before, but with a new boat suspect i should /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif 1971 hustler 35 ie cruising mostly. she has an adjuster device on the backstay.

have been looking at;

rigging handbook by brion toss, and

rigging by danilono fabbroni

but no reviews of either on amazon. or got any other suggestions etc?

Cannot comment on the books you mention but THIS from Selden Masts gives a pretty good insight into setting up standing rigging

Brion Toss's The Complete Riggers Apprentice is very good. Not just for the info, but as a read. Recommended.

I found Ivar Dedekam's "Illustrated Sail & Rig Tuning" a very easy book to follow.
