Hope someone can help as I can't get my head round this one.

Plotter & VHF-DSC both Standard Horizon.

Connections as described in the manuals are as follows:

Plotter
Green - NMEA Common
Blue - Port 1 Input (then later described as NMEA +ve input)
Brown - Port 1 Output (then later described as NMEA +ve output)

VHF
Blue - NMEA Input(+)
Green - NMEA Input (-)
Gray - NMEA Output (+)

So we have 2 +ve & 1 -ve

My best guess is
Plotter Green to VHF Green - these would appear to be both -ve
Plotter Blue to VHF Gray
Plotter Brown to VHF Blue

Any comments very welcome

Go to the standard horizon .com site there is a attachment diagram that I used to connect the 2150 to the cp 180.

JVL - Brilliant, thanks so much, never thought to look there and looks like I was right all along although I was really not sure.

Cheers

Hi Dave

Ummm, We also had problems in wiring my Standard Horizon GX2100E AIS radio to my SH 300i Plotter, this is what we ended up with and it has worked ever since and the reception is fantastic !

• Port 1 input - AIS38400
• Port 2 Input - AIS38400
• Port 3 Input - NMEA
• Port 4 Input - NMEA
• Port 5 Input - AIS38400

Mike

Mike - thanks for that

Looks like you are connecting to VHF & AIS. I'm only concerned with VHF at this stage so I'll run with the SH website diagram for now but I will make a note of your connections should I ever add an AIS.
