Comments please on reception from the internal GPS receiver on a Standard Horizon GX2200e when installed at the chart table?

Mine works really well. Picks up a position very quickly

+1, in fact its better and quicker than the Garmin that has a remote antenna.

I have a GX-1700E Explorer GPS and from out of the box to a first fix was less than 30 seconds. Different model, but I bet they use the same components.

My handheld Garmin GPS to 20mins.

I have the GX2200e and can echo the above comments in a Sadler 34. I was hugely impressed with its first-fix performance out of the box - also around 30secs.
