Toerails and stanchions - Stephen Lawrence Yachting

Stephen Lawrence Yachting used to supply alloy toerails and stanchions but I don't know if these were original equipment on Sigmas. See this earlier post .

Unfortunately, his web site is no longer active and I have lost his phone number. I believe at least one other forumite has contacted him since his site became inactive and if they see this post they might give you his contact details.

The all alloy ones are made by YS and marketed by HOLT , and they have about four sizes. They also supply the alloy bases to suit. They fit my '79 moody and were used on lots of boats in the 70's and 80's.
Seamark Nunn can supply them but search around - the price varies considerably from chandler to chandler and remember to ask for discount for quantity!
Incidently I replaced mine as the stainless guard wires had worn through the alloy and I considered them unsafe. Also the stanchions had welded themselves into the bases and cracked them. The bases are now supplied with a plastic liner to prevent this(I hope!) and use plenty of the Duralac to prevent corrosion with the stainless bolts used for fixing.
See:- http://www.holtperformance.com/ BUT they don't seem to list the stanchions and base, even though I have a printout of the pages! It'll pay you to give them a ring and enquire further.
