No not a tongue twister!

Does anyone know of a supplier of large stainless steel senhouse slips?

We re looking for one with a 17mm radius of the 'U' bit.

Cant help directly but know that the RNLI use them for quick release moorings. Maybe a chat with your local coxswain or mechanic would be worthwile.

The Skipper is 2nd cox locally and hasn't any idea!

The 2nd idea maybe worth a look but ideally we need to put a shackle through the top eye. Will give them a call re sizes.

Thanks.

Will be seeing our local 2nd Coxswain tommorow by coincidence.Ill see If he knows but suspect they just get them from the RNLI not direct from the suppliers.

That might well be the answer....

Will have a measure up tomorrow - its for our liferaft manual deployment so needs to fit the hydrostatic release too - hence the size requirement of the 'U' section. The galvanised one seem to get harder to free each time its checked.

FWIW
I've bought shackles etc from Stainlessdirect. Quality was fine and very prompt delivery. They seem like an efficient outfit.
No connection other than customer.
