I need to get some small stainless steel brackets made up to attach a solar panel. They will only be 100mmx 60mm x 4mm so could easily be manufactured anywhere in the UK and sent to me by courier. Can anyone recommend someone who could do this for me as I cant seem to find anyone local (Derby)
Thanks Steve (Affinite)

We have used these people (local to us) to make a stainless bracket for our wind genny - very good, however they sometimes have to buy in thinner pieces of stainless in 316 (ie 4mm) as they sometimes only do the larger stuff as standard - worth a try though:

Are the bits you want flat metal bars to go under the panel so you can clamp it to a rail like this:

If so, try these people (they shipped from the US for me very quickly ....):

Hope this helps

I used Bespoke Stainless Fabrications (??) to get a sprayhood frame made from a drawing I made - bent 25mm dia tube - it fitted and was well finished. They sent by courier.

Google them for a telephone number - don't think there was a website.

Thanks guys. I am trying to make a tiltable bracket - so brackets are a little more complex than yours Jonny but thatks for the link Steve

The ones I have (which are linked to) come with a fitting for a 1 inch tube (doesn't fit my 1.25inch gantry) which are designed to be tiltable - a single fitting on each bar with a thumb screw on them so you can slacken them off, tilt the panel and te-tighten them. If I had 1 inch tubes it would have been awesome (but I don't so put 4 U clips on instead as per the picture!)
