Stainless Steel Chainplates

Went down to rig the boat yesterday and found some scrote had unscrewed the end of a bottle screw which was fitted to two chainplates (about 8" x 1") for my inner shroud.I have bought similar plates before on ebay but chainplate brings nothing up. Anyone have any ideas? Peter.

I don't quite understand your post, but are you sure it's a chainplate you're missing? These are normally firmly bolted and/or bonded to the hull, and not something you can just pinch off the deck.

I dont know what to call them to search for them but guess the OP has ( had ) a couple of link (??) plates between the bottle screw and the chain plate

Baseline stock them, called stay adjusters and shroud adjusters, see here. Most chandleries seem to keep them.
