Advice please..........
I'm ashore in Portchester near Portsmouth and I'm looking for someone to make a 'bash plate' to protect the hull from the anchor.

I can remember someone advising that there is a stainless steel fabricator in Chichester.
Does anyone know details of this guy or know of another S.S. fabricator in the area please?

Reason why needed see http://www.ybw.com/forums/showthread.php?t=336998

thanks
S.

This could be the one. I used them for a minor SS repair job on a locker catch which was fine, and a reasonable price.

I don't know whether what you have in mind is perhaps more akin to an ice-breaking bow attachment, but on our boat there is a very simple stainless plate made from about 1mm thick plate, I'm certain it was a DIY job by a previous owner. Would take probably less than an hour's work to angle grind it to size and bend into shape.
Stainless plate is easily and cheaply available online, even on eBay.
Apologies if a DIY job wasn't what you had in mind.
