Stainless P clips.

I need to attach something to a 22mm stainless tube, and have come across these. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rubber-Li...118&pid=100010&prg=1013&rk=5&sd=221022091309&

I don't want to use the rubber part. Does anyone know how thick the rubber is, and therefore what size P clips I need to clamp tightly to 22mm tube once the rubber has been discarded. There are 20mm and 21mm clips available.

Having used a similar product as heating pump brackets from memory the rubber is about 2mm thick if that helps.

If it helps I measured a "JCS" size 16 P clip.

SS thickness is 1mm

Rubber 1.5mm

Most above water stainless is 304, takes a better polish

I would prefer 316 ones if available, but this is an above water application, attaching my new instrument pod to the tube around the binnacle. I intend to remove the aluminium sheet that is riveted to both the tube an the old pod anf fix the new pod via a custom made flanged stainless pipe to replace the existing cable entry tube, and via P clips to the diagonal tube.
