ST60 Tridata Setup ??

Got a ST60 Tridata from Ebay. It stubbornly refuses to display speed. In the setup, speed is set to NO (indicating Repeater function only). So I need to find a way to set it to YES (Master function).
Any ideas? The manual is not very helpful here. A Reset does not change things and yes it is the master display with the pins for the transducers.

Section 4.3 of the manual explains how to change the setting (I downloaded it from the Raymarine site). Only other idea is to check that it is not in 'Boat Show' mode which can be changed as described in Section 4.4.

It has to be connected to it's speed transducer to come out of repeater mode. In particular, the transducer must have the temperature thermistor in circuit, (not always the case, they can fail).
Failing that a resistor of about 10kohm across the appropriate pins will fool it.

Ahhhh. Great. I will try that. Tested it with a speed only transducer only. Will try again and report back.
