I have an ST60 (not ST60+) Tridata that has direct connections to depth transducer and log impeller: also connects via old Seatalk to ST60 Wind, Graphic and ST4000 Autopilot instrument heads.

Speed and depth displays working, but I can no longer get into any of the calibration modes with the as per the manual 2, 4 or 12 second two-button press. Any suggestions?

I don't really want to swap all instruments for new - anyone got a definitely working ST60 Tridata head that they don't need anymore? I'm in Falmouth.

I have an ST60+ and that goes into User cal mode easily (Depth + Speed for 2 seconds) but accessing Dealer cal can be a real pain if you don't get the timing exactly right.

I wonder whether one of your buttons is simply not making a good connection or is stuck down? I would try spraying some switch cleaner, ideally the sort with lubricant, all round the buttons trying to get as much down past the rubber button as you can, then trying working the switches with the cleaner still in place.

If that doesn't work you might be able to remove the unit and take the back off and try the same from the inside.

It's a long shot but for a couple of quid it's worth a go. :)

Depth and speed buttons individually work as intended, but simultaneous press (tried umpteen times) won't go into any of the CAL modes, even the basic 2 second one.

I tried calling Raymarine yesterday morning from the boat, but couldn't get through, just automated hold message then line dead.

OK .... a stuck button or poor contact is ruled out. :(

It might start working again when the weather warms up but that isn't much consolation I'm afraid. A spell in a warm airing cupboard sitting in a box with some silica gel or rice might effect a miracle cure but it's not looking good. :ambivalence:

After serious googling found ST60 Tridata service manual: it won't do the self-test procedure either. But it is working and showing actual water depth depth near-as-dammit consistently and accurately - I've checked this afternoon with a leadline at various depths. I just wanted to reset offset to "below keel", also I don't like stuff not working perfectly.
