If you are talking about hiking to the top of the mountain called Soufriere on the North end of St Vincent you will be hiking through some prime marijuana growing country.
We are not talking about some peace loving laidback rastas cultivating a few plants for their own use but a thriving industry protecting their acres of weed using young men armed with automatic weapons.

I am told that it 'can' be done with the right local guide from Chateaubelair but I for one would skip this hike.
