I've had this old boat for many years. She's 24 feet long. Carvel larch on I think elm. Built in 1919 by Moody at Swanwick. Bermudan (original) rig. Looks like a small Dragon but shallow lead keel with iron centre plate. As far as I know she was built for Salcombe Yacht Club with her 3 sisters(?) David, George and Andrew. She is sound but needs work. Anybody got any other info?

Yes. Lots. I am the archivist of the Royal Noirfolk & Suffolk YC at Lowestoft who owned the boats from about 1921 - 1932. Great pedigree - G.L.Watson build - Fife design to BRA 18' rule. The person who posted that (in 2001) is no longer on the ybw database, so unless they have re-registered with a new username, are probably long gone.

Great to know you have this information to hand though. We often have people looking for the history of their boats.

I've just picked up this post. I can't remember ever logging in as islecastle2. I've been posting here on and off for years as islecastle1.
Anyway, I still have the St. Patrick, but she is not in good condition, but probably restorable. She has been up here for many years, raced in Loch Ryan (Stranraer) and and at Kippford.
I am delighted to hear from someone who knows about her.
If you pick this up, we can go into more detail.
