In 2001 a posting was made on this website about St. Patrick. She is a 24' half decker, bermudan rigged with a drop keel. There were originally four Saints built for Salcombe YC in 1918. St. Patrick, St David, St. George etc.... I doubt if anyone's interested but they were built to the BRA 18' rule.

In 2001 St.Patrick was described as basically sound but requiring some work. Well, I've owned classic wooden boats all my life...... .

But does anyone know the current whereabouts of St Patrick?

Thank you for this information. I have a few photos- and line drawings that were published in Yachting Monthly in 1919. I'll see if I can get over my technical dyslexia sufficiently to post something.

St.George was last heard of in 1934, owned by Albert Wooden who had a boatyard at Oulton Broad. Wouldn't mind paying homage to the remains next time I'm down at Pin Mill - where is the keel? Should have a hole through it for the plate.

Don't forget there was also an embyo keel boat class called St. George, promoted I believe by Roger de Quincey. The design was supposed to slay the Dragon class - but didn't!
