Just booked in via email for the coming weekend. Prompt reply and neat little PDF asking me to confirm lock ETA no less than 3 days prior. Also a hint that at the moment they do not take deposits but that might change.Suspect its not the individual visitor but clubs who block book and then half of them on the list decide not to go and not just due to weather. ? However fingers crossed weather wise.

Same here, when visiting last year. Nice pack sent by email containing every detail. Info on concierge service, local eateries, etc but wanted to know what time you'd be at the gates. Locking in procedure was a faff. Getting out was easier but we did crash into the wall slightly

Not exactly a finely honed operation last time we were there. Waited over the far side until the melee had subsided and then asked if they they wanted us in. Slotted in nicely between two yachts who had already made fast, gate was on its way up almost immediately.
