Now comfortably relaxing having yet another beer to celebrate our first trip, accompanied by rr123 on ropes, radio and sandwiches. A great feeling of excitement and will post photos in due time. So thrilling to do it on a boat type that has only ever done this once, on the way up. We had no data or experience to refer to. I have learnt heaps about her. The big one being that she is not fast, rolls a lot, but responds to gentle correction. Well, that's SWMBO....

Well done mate, I hope it has left you hankering for more! Didn't realise you had rr123 with you, tell him his son's school looks well smart, we only nudged one of their sculls on the way up, honest :) I trust you had the obligatory pint in the Dickens to kick of the safely arrived proceedings. You'll find the trip back a lot more relaxing having the tide helping to push you along.

Do you know anyone with a 34ft boat with a planing hull willing to lend..... ;)

Well done on the trip to "forn parts". Best hotel in London, bring your own room:-)

How was the Dickens? I tend to cross the river to drink if in St Kats.

The Dickens was showing live football, which isn't my bag (wrong shaped ball), so just had a quick pizza then went to the bar that never shuts :)

I haven't been in a yonk but the Pizzas upstairs at the Dickens used to be the best ones outside of New York. Are they still as good as ever?

We were very impressed by the pizza. Not dry or salty, but tasty with the right volume of of toppinmgs. Quite a high point, though not as good as going through Tower Bridge.
