It's not just closed, it's for all practical purposes empty. I can't imagine how much money they're loosing on this, as well as the drop off in trade for the shops and restaurants.
Much as we love St Kat's, we're kind of wondering where it's going right now. With huge rent rises which have closed several of the shops, overblown redevelopment plans which will irreversibly alter the character of the place, and now this closure at the hight of the season, what exactly are the new owners playing at???
What exactly are the owners playing at" Well looking at the web site there is talk of retail office and residential development. Nothing about marina development, if the lock cost to much to maintain just chain it shut. A old barge or pirate ship, a few swans and no troublesome boat owners
