St Eulalia, Ibiza Any Info??

We are thinking of taking our Jeanneau 36.2 to St Eulalia for a spell (currently in Alicante). It looks fine in the summer but does anyone know what it is like from say, October - April. Is it a bit dead then in the town as we can see that there are far less flights to Ibiza during the winter. Any comments gratefully received. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Bit dead in winter, October until April, in fact until May, when all the bars, clubs atart openeing again. depends what you want, there is still a fairly large indigenous population there. Can be a bit windy and cold as well. But a nice place. Have you found a berth?

Thanks for your reply - just what we thought and it would be rather nice if there were less tourists (that's why we like Alicante as only the Spanish holiday there!), but we do like sailing around Ibiza and a change of scenery would be nice. When there this year we asked about a berth and were told it would be no problem but you have to pay on a monthly basis throughout the summer months which is quite expensive and then they will do a seasonal rate for the winter. They do have cheaper annual beths but there is a long waiting list for these. Obviously it is about double the price of Alicante but we may still give it a go.

Go for it, must be nice and quiet, how frequent are the flights, I do know they fly all year.

Still trying to find flights for winter months, but thinking we may not bother to visit then and go for a "proper" holiday instead. I think we will put our name down for a berth and see if we get one for next April then decide how we are going to play it!
