St Donats

No idea if your allowed to use the mooring buoy off St.Donats slip way, but we had a great walk around the castle and through the woods. Worth a visit. (if you do go at HW watch the reef that extends about 100m out parallel on the left of the slipway, from seaward.) If you like walking there are two good pubs nearby and i reckon the dinghy would be safe left on the slip.

i would assume the mooring bouy is connected to the inshore lifeboat stationed at atlantic college so perhaps not a good idea to use it

How far out would you recomend dropping the hook to make sure the boat is safe when you leave it?

In a mobo i reckon level with that mooring buoy but slightly east.
