I went last Weekend , it is a cracking new marina.

See for details http://www.digimap.gg/st_cast (not by me).

The marina is well thought out, large berths , temporary facilities and the new toilets, showers harbour office should be finished in July 2010.

52 miles south from Guernsey, easy entrance.

The beach and town is 10 min wqalk along the promenade from the marina.

3 restaurants near the marina and about 10 in the town.

An excellent beach and countryside.

All tide entrance and about 10 miles from St Malo.

Well worth a visit.

Bandit, I will shoot you. Dont tell everyone about this place. Ive stayed there a few times now and was keeping it a secret.

While overnight in St Peter Port on Friday I met the chap who owns a Princess 50, called Talulla (spelling?), the one that berths in Haslar. He was a nice chap, despite flying a blue duster.

He said St Cast was a bit remote, no atmosphere?

Yep thats right, awfull place wouldent go there myself, just find my self storm bound there for days on end, trying to get my wife to leave

Pah, you don't fool me with that Braer Rabbit stuff. Throw me in the briar bush indeed.

I'll organise a Broom Owners Club meeting for the next time you go, that will serve you right.

PS - The noisiest bunch of boaters I've met were the Broom Owners Club in St Helier, slightly worse for wear and dancing on pontoons at 3 in the afternoon. They seemed to be fast asleep by 7pm.
