Tutt's has lost our SSR papers. Not only that we eerr! never got around to actualy sticking the number on the boat. However the boat does look very posh with a previous SSR number. All very complicated. However I've got a form to fill in for lost papers. Now to the interesting bit. The form asks for hull number. I've got all the papers from the boat being new, but there is no reference to hull number. Yard number and ID number yes. Now to save me the 310 mile trip. To look at the number stamped in the hull. Can some one tell me if ID number is the same as hull number. If not it all seems a bit daft if info on paper work is not same as SSR Reg.
Failing that. Could some kindly soul like ToMo or another in Plymouth Yacht Haven, please look at the back port side. of Meekatharra and see what the hull number is.

Small Ships Register, Steve.

I have my old number and am going to use it to get some history on my boat.

The impression I got was that over a certain size (don't know what) you did need one and below it was voluntary. I haven't got as far as checking with the authorities yet.

Why not ask some of the friendly marina staff to look it up for you?

Also don't quite understand how Tut's could have lost it when it's your boat and you have all the other papers. Does she know that she is being blamed or should we let the marina staff know and they can tell her when you are next down there. :))

I\'ll be there tonight

My boat is in Plymouth Yacht Haven and I'll be down there tonight. If you care to PM me with your berth number, I'd be happy to look it up for you and reply tomorrow.

I'll check back on the site before I leave work today (16:45) to see if you've sent me a message.

Cheers,

Jerry

Well John. I thought it was high time I got the SSR thingy sorted out. Cos fed up of sneaking over to france in disguise. Cos When I bought the boat I sent away for SSR. But then found it all ready had numbers on the back. So then had papers with one number on and boat with others. Then never got round to putting new numbers on. Mainly cos I could not find the right numbers and size, in the shop. Come to look again and cant find, bit of paper.
No new props yet, they said 3/4 weeks. So you will be better by then and can stick them on. You hang on to props, I'll set off quickish. And there bound to fall off!!
Thanks for the number, But I think thats the marina gate pass number which is very simillar.

Dont know where to go with new props, bloody weather cancelled one trip, then it rained all week on Tutts half term trip. Now weather OK'ish, no one to go with. Anyway I thought that being as we have reupholstered the loft and the living room. Then new Props and toilet pump. Theres nothing else to break. So might zoom round france a bit.
