SSB - weather fax 2000 usb

Hi,

I had a 90% working weather fax (SSB radio) before an update and re-install given to me by a local company here in the US (Navtex and Help were not opening.)

but now when i download the weather I have these distortions can anyone shed some light on them from the picture below

I'm no expert but it looks like noise to me.
Are you using the best frequency available to receive this transmission?
What type of modem and tuner are you using?

Paul, using a usb demodulator for Weather fax 2000. via a audio plug that connects to the serial in the back of the ssb and yes clean clear signal SSB works like a dream dam computers - i should have kept on with computing with real time systems instead of switching to economics

I would first check all of your connections to ensure that they are clean and tight.

Assuming that they are then the problem may lie with either the demodulator or your computer.

You mention an update and re-install and it may be that your updated version needs a faster processor than your computer has. Check with your supplier to find out the spec of their updated software and check compatability with your hardware.

If everything checks out you might want to re-install the upgrade and try again.
