SSB long range certificate

Does anyone know of a company running a SSB long range certificate course in the Plymouth area?

I did mine at Yachtcom on the Hamble. One of the other participants had traveled up from Plymouth, so maybe no one is doing it down your way.

I'm also struggling to find anyone to advise on my installation and setup down here too

There's not much business in Long Range these days, so Bob and Yachtcom on the Hamble is your best bet. When I did it, people came from far and wide which suggests it's not widely available.

It's a good course, by the way, and Bob is a good teacher and will offer excellent advice on installation. The installation and set up is not difficult. Read around a bit and get the idea, and then discuss it with Bob.

I'd put it under the heading of a DIY job.

I hadn't spotted the SWTA one before, on their website it looks more suited to the commercial sector but ill give them a call.
I'm seeing good things crop up about Yachtcom, i'll get in touch with Bob.

Mr. Google seems to show places in plymouth doing the General Operator's Certificate. probably no more expensive when you factor travel in
