SS Montgomery - a film being made

[Concerto]

A film project over the past 5 years has been recording interviews with veterans of the SS Montomery which sank in the entrance to the Medway in 1944, plus interviews with politicians, historians and the public. A 70 minute cinema film is planned.

Think it sank a little before 1994; try 1944? Is this the Liberty Ship or a different Montgomery?

Can't be many original survivors or those about at the time still alive.

Are they going to blow it up? That would make Sheppy's eyes water and would make for interesting TV!

Oops, corrected now. Yes, it was the Liberty ship. I regularly sail by and still wonder how much risk there is after nearly 75 years. Over the past 50 years I have heard so many stories and comments about the risk and condition of the ship.
