Squeaky gearbox on Davit - how to lubricate

The stbd Davit on OB takes the majority of the weight of the tender as that is the engine end. Problem is the loud squeaking noise that emanates, especially when raising. It is not graunching just very loud.

I have had a look inside the box from the access cover - the gears appear to be brass, so I assume are partially self lubricating. The wind down are some on form of slip clutch, so I am nervous about just spraying in some oil or WD40. I thought about using PTFE sail track lubricant spray.

Ideas please. I think they are Whitlock (Fairline original fit).
